Hot Water Recirculating Lines

Hot water circulating systems deliver hot water so that a faucet will quickly provide hot water upon demand without waiting for the water to get hot. Since water is piped from the water heater through the pipes to the tap, once the tap is shut off, the water remaining in the pipes cools, producing the familiar wait for hot water the next time the tap is opened. Rather than relying on low water pressure common in most water lines, recirculating systems use a circulator pump to rapidly move water from a water heater to the fixtures, minimizing the wait.
